Flat Out Delicious and Bisous & Brioche Finalists for 2021 Taste Canada Awards

TouchWood Editions is pleased to announce that Flat Out Delicious by Jenn Sharp and Bisous & Brioche by Laura Bradbury and Rebecca Wellman have been selected as finalists for the 2021 Taste Canada Awards. The announcement was made virtually on June 16 and the winners will be selected in a virtual ceremony on November 14, 2021.

Jenn Sharp’s Flat Out Delicious: Your Definitive Guide to Saskatchewan’s Food Artisans has been shortlisted for the Culinary Narrative category, which is given to the best food- or beverage-related narrative that is not primarily a recipe book. Jenn shared that “Canada is bursting with food stories. Food is the easiest way to break down barriers to help us better understand and respect one another. It’s an incredible honour to be shortlisted in the culinary narratives category, alongside such outstanding Canadian talent.” Also shortlisted for Culinary Narrative are Nikki Jabbour, Jon Tattrie, John Ota, and Suzanne Evans.

Bisous and Brioche: Classic French Recipes and Family Favorites from a Life in France by Laura Bradbury and Rebecca Wellman has been shortlisted for the Regional/Cultural Cookbooks category which is given to the cookbook which best exemplifies the cooking of a specific terrior or region in Canada, or, the cooking of a specific ethnic group in Canada or around the world. “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for the 2021 Taste Canada Awards! It is an honour to be in such great company,” says Rebecca, with Laura adding that “we truly put our heart and souls into this collection. Huge congratulations to all our fellow shortlisted authors for their remarkable achievements.” Also shortlisted for the Regional/Cultural Cookbooks category are Eden Grinshpan, Nuit Regular, Jennifer Schell, and Lena Tashjian.
