Gary Hynes

Gary Hynes, a former sommelier, chef, and innkeeper, founded EAT Magazine, a bimonthly publication that celebrates food and drink in British Columbia, for which he was the editor. In 2011, Gary and the team at EAT worked together to create Island Wineries of British Columbia from their shared knowledge of excellent wine and BC’s unique culinary scene. He passed away in 2018.
