TouchWood Editions has been publishing books for twenty years and our mandate has grown along with us. We publish books of literary merit about Canada's West - the people, places, landscape, food, art and culture of the region. Our commitment to our region and to our authors is matched by our commitment to quality production and effective promotion of our books.
All of our books are professionally edited and designed, and produced appropriately for the market. Beyond the production and release of quality books, our objective is to distribute and sell them as widely as possible. We accomplish this goal through a distribution network that serves both the trade and non-traditional markets in Canada and the U.S., in combination with thoughtful promotion of our titles and authors.
We hope you will browse our titles and discover the beautiful books we have published on the visual art of BC, our page-turning mysteries and the many other books of fiction and non-fiction that represent the community, culture and people of western Canada.
TouchWood's titles are lovingly published and promoted by a team of dedicated and experienced individuals:
Pat Touchie, Publisher Emeritus: With diverse and extensive experience in publishing and in fields outside of publishing, Pat bought Horsdal & Schubart in 2000 and renamed it TouchWood Editions.
Marlyn Horsdal, Editor: One of the founders of Horsdal & Schubart in 1984, Marlyn continues to act as a substantive editor and overall expert on most of TouchWood's list.
We acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Canada
